A visual poem about the influence of ghosts on our everyday life.
Handmade book, fabric, photographs, text typed on a
mechanical typewriter. One copy. 24×22 cm.
2022.
This book was created during my time in Russia, just before my departure. It is a response to the frustration I felt when comparing official news narratives to the reality unfolding around me.
I experienced a sense of being in a ghostly place, a limbo where perceptions of reality had been distorted beyond recognition.
The accompanying text expresses regret over the growing societal tolerance for violence, nurtured by state institutions.
