Multidisciplinary artist. I work with mediums such as photography, installation, and collage. In my practice, I explore themes of society and its influence on individuals in contemporary society.
Artist Statement
I was born and spent most of my life in Russia, on the outskirts of St. Petersburg.
My artistic practice revolves around reflections on the norms of morality and legality in contemporary society.
Walking practices help me connect with the places I inhabit, allowing me to deduce overarching concepts of a territory through its details. This process enables me to internalize and reinterpret these spaces in my work.
I consider myself an agnostic and a proponent of a scientific approach, yet I hold a genuine interest in religion as a sociocultural phenomenon. In some of my works, I explore religious aesthetics.
Text plays a significant role in my practice. Since Russian is my native language, it serves as the primary medium in my textual explorations.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I work with various media, including photography, video, installation, and collage.
My creative journey began as a video editor and music photojournalist.
I am a member of the art collective “Particles” and have been engaged in artistic practices since 2022.
In addition to my artistic practice, I engage in commercial photography. I shoot portraits, couples, and some still life. I have a passion for classical portraiture and storytelling. In my work, I prefer using complex lighting techniques to create a visually striking and high-quality final product.
